Would a better mic help (and does one exist?) or can anybody recommend any settings to change?Īlso the volume for the synthesized speech and phone ringing is pretty whacked out. So far I've tried locating it it on the steering column, the visor and clipped to the ceiling, and it's pretty much unintelligible everywhere. Google can hardly understand me and people I call on the phone make me call back without hands-free because they can't understand me.

The final(?) problems I have is that after all this, the microphone that ships with the Kenwood is terrible. The radio fits, the dash fits and best of all it actually fits all the clips and bolt holes so it's not going to fly apart when I hit a bump. It's miles ahead of the clone that everybody is selling.
