If a quest only item has a green plus sign and/or a gold friends icon next to it in the collections tab, then it can be gifted and/or requested between friends, so if you are looking for it you can ask your friends to send it to you. These items can only be won when the quest for that item is active, and once the quest is complete it will no longer be available to win in the location the quest specified. Others can only be found when playing in a certain mode, for example, night mode, but can be won in any picture as long is that picture is played in night mode.Ī few items cannot be won in any picture or puzzle. Some items can be won in multiple pictures and puzzles, and some items can only be found in one location. This will bring up an infobox for that particular item. If you are trying to win a particular item in order to complete a collection, you can find out where to get it by pressing its icon in the collections tab. This list changes depending on what level you have advanced that picture/puzzle to, or in the case of pictures, depending on what mode the picture is currently in. You can scroll through this list either by swiping or by using the arrows either side of the list. The "Can be Found" list is located above the Research button and contains photos of all the items available to win. In the research window, there is a "Can be Found" section, which contains all collection items and combining elements that potentially can be given out as rewards for winning the picture/puzzle game. You do this by opening the research window of the picture/puzzle by pressing its icon on your home desktop. If you are unsure whether you are at the right picture/puzzle level or you are playing a picture in the right mode to win a particular collection item, you can check to see if it is available to win before you begin the game. Other items can only be won when playing a picture in a certain picture mode.
Some items can only be won when you have advanced the picture or puzzle's level to a certain point, and will not be available to win there until you reach that level of progress for the picture/puzzle. You win collection items for each successful picture investigation or puzzle game you complete.
